AUTO 191 - Heavy Duty and Automotive Brake Systems

Automotive and Medium/Heavy Truck Brake Systems is 11 weeks and consists of 77 hours
of traditional classroom and lab instruction. The Automotive and Medium/Heavy Truck
Brake Systems course covers the fundamentals, function, diagnosis, and repair of modern
hydraulic and air brake systems including anti-lock brake systems, vehicle stability, and
collision avoidance systems.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to earn an
Automotive and Medium/Heavy Truck Brake Systems Certificate and the availability to
test for the State of Michigan Mechanics Automotive and Medium/Heavy Truck Brakes
and Brake Systems Certificates.
