Professional Development Workshops and Events

We are a learning organization and are here to support our local districts and community as we work together to maximize student learning opportunities. Professional Development Opportunities for 2012-13 are aligned and arranged according to the strands in the School Improvement Framework.

We are requesting that you register for all events using our new system.  This will allow us to better communicate with you about these events/trainings and this new system helps with our record keeping and documentation of events.

Register to attend and/or view all our PD offerings here.

    changes to sb-ceuS

The Michigan Legislature adopted new rules on May 18, 2012 for renewal of Professional Teaching Certificates. SB-CEUs are now known as State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs).

For example, instead of earning 3.0 SB-CEUs at an offering, you will earn 30 SCECHs. The amount of credit is the same, it is only calculated differently. Please click here for a pamphlet explaning SCECHs.

More information about educator certification is located in the MDE FACTS bulletin.

We want to offer some tips and tricks  to make your planning and absence a little easier on you and your students. We also welcome any feedback, questions, or tips from you on this subject.
