| PROGRAM OVERVIEW | Early Childhood Careers students have the opportunity to learn to work in early childhood
education careers while participating in the operation of licensed
preschool at the MOCC. Students who demonstrate good progress, have
excellent attendance and a good work ethic may have opportunities to
explore careers outside of the MOCC.

| PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS | Students practice teaching,
planning, assisting and managing the on-site preschool, will be trained in
first aid and CPR, create and individualize text work in child
development, education and care, and may also have work exploration
opportunities at schools and day care centers.
|
| CAREER OPPORTUNITIES | Some career opportunities
in the early childhood education and care field are teacher assistant,
preschool teacher, kindergarten teacher, art teacher, music teacher,
special education teacher, social work, child care provider, psychologist,
counselor and pediatrician.
