PROGRAM OVERVIEW Opportunities in electricity, electronics and computers continues to grow at an amazing rate.  Students in this class will learn how to design, trouble-shoot and repair electrical and electronic circuits and systems as well as computer systems.  Work exploration and co-op experiences are available to the ambitious student.

 

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS The Electricity/Electronics program offers first year students the chance to learn basic AC and DC circuit principles, solid state electronics, integrated circuit technology and technician skills while second year students focus on learning digital electronics, advanced circuit trouble-shooting and electronic repair,  participate in MITES and concentrate on program specialization which may include computer servicing, A+ certification, residential wiring, industrial controls and automation, PLC programming and robotics and electronics repair.

 

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Career opportunities in the electricity, electronics and computer field may include electronics technician, electrician, electrical engineer, controls engineer/technician and computer service technician.
