| PROGRAM OVERVIEW |
Heavy and Compact Equipment Repair Technology is a two year program designed to equip students with entry-level skills in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including farm, construction, industrial and compact equipment. This program also leads to more advanced training in college/technical education. Specific qualifications needed to be successful in completing Heavy and Compact Equipment Repair Technology courses include a good attitude, dependability, ability to work with others, willingness to follow directions, good physical strength and agility, good hand-eye coordination, and good reading and math skills. The successful completion of a mechanical application test, one-year basic algebra and two years of English are also recommended.

| PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS |
Classroom objectives students may learn throughout the two years of instruction in the Heavy and Compact Equipment Repair Technology program include shop safety, diesel and gas engine rebuilding, minor diesel and gas engine repair and tune-up, power trains, compact equipment repair, welding, hydraulics, machinery calibration and adjustment, basic electronics and electrical systems testing.
