Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology program is National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) certified in Brakes, Electricity/Electronics and Suspension/Steering Systems. This two-year program is currently transitioning to the new NATEF “Maintenance and Light Repair” model which will address all eight areas of automotive repair. The program also covers safety, preventative maintenance and business knowledge. Students are prepared to take the State of Michigan Mechanic Certification tests in each area upon completion. Articulation with college programs is available for successful students.
