She announced that the budget cut information for ASAP-PIE programs does
cover a myriad of programs and the Early Success - Right from the Start
program to date is okay.
Karen
reported that the teleconferenced technical assistance meeting offered
information regarding program budget coding, TANF data collection, database and
an overview of the proposed website. More
information in all areas will be forthcoming.
The Early Success - Right from the Start
Project Update was reviewed. Information in regards to the program has been
distributed through pamphlets, bulletins, newspaper and radio ads, as well as
through community events (i.e. fairs, sidewalk sales, etc.) with over 300
referrals received. The parent
educators began home visits and in two weeks 65 home visits have been completed.
Liza Ing reported that she is gathering information
for the evaluation, but still needs to know exactly what type of information is
required.
Karen informed the committee that due to a change in
her job position, Sarah Phillips has submitted a letter advising she will no
longer be able to serve as a member of the Steering Committee.
Deb Bean asked to be placed on the Home Visiting
committee.
Pam Forbes stated that she would like her referrals
to be forwarded to Parent Educators who have experience working with domestic
violence cases.
