Disabled American Veterans (DAV)--Food assistance to qualifying vets. Will loan wheelchairs and crutches to disabled. Trust fund available. Service officer available to process veteran's claims. Service officer available on Thursday of the second full week in months of Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct and Dec. Regular meetings are also on these dates at 6:30 p.m.

Early On, Mecosta and Osceola County--A community based interagency collaboration among the Michigan Department of Education, Public Health, Mental Health and Social Services. Serves infants aged birth until third birthday, which have an established condition or are developmentally delayed.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)--Volunteer services to non-profit community organizations. Must be a senior citizen (55 years), substance abuse program for seniors, provide transportation for people in need, involved in tutoring in schools, baking, sewing, etc. Hospice and respite services. Individual testing and confidential, one-on-one tutoring available for children and adults. This free service is handled by RSVP, Big Rapids Public Schools and Friends of the Library-Big Rapids Public Library.
